New Honda Civic to be built in the UK at Swindon production facility. Honda is injecting more than £200million into the Swindon production facility to facilitate the production of British-builtCivic.
At the Swindon plant, the production of Civic will continue and the CR-V will be moved to Ontario production facility in Canada.
The all new Honda Civic will use two new direct injection VTEC turbo engines where a 1.5-litre four cylinder engine of 201bhp and 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine with 127bhp. This new Honda Civic engines line-up will replace the current 1.8-litre engines. There is a new choice of transmissions offered on the Civic where six-speed CVT and manual transmissions will lead the new Civic.
A bigger 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine could replace the current engine line-up and set to form the foundation for next Civic Type R. this all new Honda Civic will go on sale in the UK from 2017.
