The Japanese auto maker Subaru is famous for its contribution in World Rally Championship, also known as WRC, whenever you see a car in blue, the first name that strikes is the ‘Subaru.’ But recently, it has considered – the most popular complaint about Subaru BRZ 2.0-litre boxer engine that generates 200 horsepower being exceptionally underpowered – pretty seriously but unfortunately Subaru is not going to do anything to fix it for the 2015 Subaru BRZ. But you will find some visual upgrades on the limited edition with rear-wheel drive system.
The distinction for 2015 BRZ is its Series.Blue Special Edition which will be produced in only 1,000 units, 500 of which will be in Crystal White Pearl and the other 500 will be brand’s famous WR Blue Pearl. The mechanical aspects of this new model stays same as before, 2.0-litre boxer engine backed by a six-speed manual gearbox, but it’s the body that got most of enhancements such as the new front spoiler with lower lips, rear spoiler, side sills are also changed along with under-body panels, all of these are the traits of STI brand.
The interior has also been tweaked with leather sport seats in black and blue with blue stitching, steering wheel design has the similarity to the interior, the parking brake and kneepads also changed. The start/stop button is illuminated and has a logo of STI on it.
The Series.Blue edition is priced at £18,075 and will be available at show rooms in July.
