When they say it’s a BMW, you can imagine what kind of technologies and level of comfort they are talking about. The 2016 BMW 7 Series – company’s flagship saloon, es – has recently made its very first public appearance. It comes fully loaded with some of the ultra-modern techs including automatically adjustable laser headlamps, self-levelling air suspension, and heated armrests, making sure that all the time spent in R&D labs in Munich pays off.
The 2016 BMW 7 Series is first production car in the world, allowing the owners to remotely park their vehicles while they are out of the car. For this purpose, BMW has introduced Star Trek like display key, commanding the car to move in or out of the parking areas or garages automatically.
When you are about to shell out a fortune on a brand new car, equipped with all the latest technologies, then you definitely would love to enjoy some exclusiveness, like the “Vitality Programme.” Plush and comfortable, these are the words describing the 2016 BMW 7 Series, this programme is responsible for keeping the passengers relaxed over long journeys. The Executive Lounge seats used in the rear enlist the massage function which gives passengers sufficient space to relax.
BMW has integrated the iDrive 5.0 infotainment system with touch display in the 7 Series for the first time, but that doesn’t mean the control wheel – which is located near the gear selector in all models – is missing, it still adds functionality like before. The new thing is “Gesture Control,” with the help of 3D sensor, it measures hand movements.
So now you can control phone connectivity, adjust audio volume, and interact with customised options by just waving your hand. Along with all this, comes the Wi-Fi, wireless mobile charging and voice control.
Many luxurious cars offer state-of-the-art glass roofs but none has ever offered a two-section Sky Lounge Panorama glass roof like the 7 Series. This is striking in every direction, giving the passengers natural beauty above. To add to the ambience, light is projected on the imprinted graphic through the side mounted LEDs, making it look like a sky full of stars.
Besides the modern gadgets and the brilliant infotainment system, BMW has given the new 7 Series a unique structure, which it calls Carbon Core body, a superb combination of carbon fibre, aluminium and steel, blended together.
It has made the car lighter than its predecessors but at the same time, as stronger as Wolverine’s skeleton. BMW 7 Series has managed to shave off as much as 286 pounds of weight, making it even faster.
The new BMW 7 series is expected to hit the showrooms at the end of this year with prices starting around £55000.
