The Audi A1 S line packs everything you’d expect of a supermini, whether it’s the top notch interior or the lavish exterior. Two 1.4 litre TFSI Audi engines are offered in the A1 S line with 123 bhp and 148 bhp.
Audi offers Cylinder on Demand technology on the 148 bhp engine which is responsible for shutting down the cylinders when not needed. The 1.6 litre TDI diesel engine kicks out 114 horses and takes only 9.4 seconds to hit 0-62 mph milestone and combined economy is over 76 mpg.
A1 offers a wonderful and very sensible driving experience and the reason is its mechanicals are shared with the VW Polo. With well weighted and precise steering the stiffened suspension can be overlooked.
Visibility from the inside is pretty good which makes it easier to park anywhere. Three-door and five-door Sportback guises are available for the all-new Audi A1 S line.
The styling cues have largely been taken from the A3 and A4 models and the front corporate grille is the same. The headlamps are of new design and now feature swept-back looks with fog lamps. The exterior looks very exotic with the contrasting roof paintwork.
The interior has very slick and one of the best design you have ever see. The materials are of high-grade in the premium supermini class. The A1 is world’s safest car with five-star Euro NCAP crash safety rating along with plenty of standard safety equipment.
Audi has made highly frugal and lightweight engines with a combined fuel economy of 76.3 mpg with carbon emissions of 93 g/km.
